About

Nick is a native Hoosier but has called southwest Ohio home for the past 9 years. During that time he worked for Miami University, biking and hiking (particularly at Hueston Woods), serving at his church, and planning a bike trip from far flung points of the lower 48. Nick is enjoys discussing topics of faith, helping other find their passions, the outdoors, hiking, food & fellowship, serving in his community, and visiting friends and family both near and far. Spencer has lived in Ohio for the vast majority of his life (there was a stint in South Carolina for about a year and a half).  He has called Oxford, Ohio home for almost 12 years.  For the past 4 years he has taught in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Miami University.  While living in Oxford, he has been blessed with incredible relationships with friends and family, and it is his hope to meet people along this journey to prove once and for all if Midwesterns truly are the best in this Country. :))  He also enjoys hiking, camping, playing soccer, teaching, interacting with students, and living out his faith through community.

Spencer and Nick became friends through their mutual friend Sean and Spencer’s sister Kim. They have taken hiking and road trips to California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, and of course Ohio. After the trip, they will part ways as roommates, but are thankful to share in the bike trip as one last hurrah.
